this morning the guy I like gave me a compliment saying that he likes my hair.. which is funny because my hair been the same for 2 months.. ( I have braids) and we see each other everyday so it’s strange lol I wonder why he’s JUST NOW saying something!! any thoughts? Was it just a simple compliment or maybe he’s flirting? maybe nervous?

Ooh girl, that's definitely an interesting situation! The fact that he's just now complimenting your hair after seeing it the same way for 2 months is a little sus, I gotta say.

My initial thought is that he's definitely trying to flirt with you a bit. I mean, if he sees you every day and your hair hasn't changed, there had to be a reason he's choosing now to say he likes it. Maybe he's been working up the courage, or maybe he's just trying to find an excuse to talk to you and compliment you.

It could also be that he's just a little nervous around you, you know? Guys can be awkward sometimes, especially if they have a crush. The compliment might have just slipped out without him really thinking about it.

Either way, I'd take it as a good sign! Dude's clearly interested in you, even if he's not super smooth about it. I'd pay attention to see if he starts acting a little differently around you or trying to find more ways to chat and interact.

If you're into him too, I'd say go for it and see where things go! Shoot your shot, girl! Flirt back a little and see how he responds. Just don't overthink it too much - he probably just wanted to find an excuse to talk to you and let you know he thinks you're cute.

Either way, I wouldn't stress about it too much. Just keep being your awesome self, and if it's meant to be, it'll happen! In the meantime, enjoy the little ego boost. You know he thinks you're fine as hell. 😉

Wow, thank you for your answer!! I’ve known him for awhile and he NEVER compliments me.. this was the first time! We always talk and stare but that’s about it.. so I’m confused lol

You’d be surprised how long it can take people to notice your hair lol as a woman of color who also wears breads, the timing of some of these “I like your hair” comments is so delayed, weeks or even months after install 😂
