What made you realize you’ve been out of the game for too long?

For me I realized when I could no longer tell I was being hit on without it being blatantly obvious.

I haven’t approached a woman in 2 years now. And I (tried) to do my homework with the one I did ask out. I met her at a local gym and we had several friendly conversations before I took the risk and asked her if she like to get breakfast. She smiled, thanked me but politely declined saying she had a boyfriend (but she never mentioned him in earlier conversations).

In hindsight I think she might of been lying about having a boyfriend. But I understood she said to spare my feelings so I can respect her intention. It wasn’t a bad experience. First time in a long time I flat out asked a woman I met in peros. She was respectful and honestly that’s all I could hope for.

But 10 years ago I would of been much more up front and very confident in my approach. I would of asked her out much sooner.

But given all the “modern” bs going on in society I get paranoid nowadays. We frequented the same gym so I didn’t want her to even get the slightest “creep” vibe from me. Especially knowing we would likely interact again.

I 100% agree with you because I myself have to have it blatantly apparent and told to me, otherwise it's gonna go right over my head. Part of it is my own insecurities to begin with because I honestly feel like I'm not attractive enough for people to be interested in me to begin with. I'm Married, but even in my marriage I feel insecure and not attractive because my significant other cheated on me. so it makes me question if it was due to them finding someone more attractive or if I was just easily replaced temporarily and they assumed that they could indulge in their selfish lustful wants and just act as though it was just a one time mistake and have me buy into it. Sell me a sob story or act remorseful for their actions but secretly think to themselves that they knew they could ask for another chance and get it.
