My daughter wanted a child but had already been married once and that was a nightmare. She stayed with him five years but left because of his inmate mentality. So she returned to a high school friend and asked him if he wanted to father a child. He said yes. They were married. They had a child which was a daughter. My daughter was out performing him in the financial side of things. He got down in the mouth. She did everything she could do to restore his interest. He is a narcissist. She received no help raising their daughter. When my granddaughter was 17 my daughter got a divorce at her psychologist advice. I think my daughter realized she did not want the luggage in the first place. She got married on the advise of his parents and us. Parents need to keep their nose out of their children's business. Maybe my daughter knew what she was doing. The only thing I can tell you is that things have changed. Husbands represented a means of support for the family. That is the way it was for my generation. But the nation is full of males who have remained boys and it is not all their fault. You usually don't grow up unless you have to. Responsibility (Wife and Kids) usually changes al that. In some it does not We need to acknowledge, things have changed.

Haven’t heard this much , but it’s usually older people who worry about their children or family members dying alone. As someone who can’t have kids , I don’t like the why don’t you have kids question.
