No, I am not waiting for someone to approach me first because I am not interested in dating or being in a relationship at this stage of my life.

I have other priorities that I did set and I don't want to have to divert my attention from my life goal, knowing that it is a bad idea since you cannot fully concentrate on two simultaneous things at the same time.

Once I finish my education and have a degree in my pocket, then it will be early enough to get into trouble but certainly not before. I would like to be able to work in my field for at least 15-20 years before I commit to someone.

Also, I am very well aware why men approach women that they don't know. I am not interested in that kind of relationship.

I am going to take this as you asking am I not willing to approach someone and wait for them to approach me. Given the topic you posted this in I think you are relating this to dating or asking someone out. No I am not going to sit and wait for someone to approach me. I will make a move if I have to or are into someone. Have before and would do it again. Fortunately for the time being I don't have to worry about it. I am in a relationship and happy with the person I am with. If I have to get back on the dating scene in my life I will certainly approach someone rather than waiting for them to seek me out. That rarely works and it becomes an awkward dance a lot of the time.
