Personally, I found my one and she is breathtakingly-life-giving, she is awesome.

Yes, I believe there must be one. And I'm glad you found your, you two look cute tho.
Here's thing we all keep finding that one person who is perfect for us.
Until that, We keep dreaming or thinking about that person and fantasies sometimes. We create whole person infront of us and try to find the person who is exactly like our imaginary person.
Well, I found that person, She was 90% similar to my imaginary one. But alas! she is already in a relationship of 6 yr. So, I don't wanna ruin their relationship and I have to leave her. But we still are best friends.
oh nevermind... but I still know, YOU TWO ARE CUTE TOGHETER...
I don't believe in "the one", I think there are lots of people out there I couple be compatible with long term. And even if it's not long term, those short relationship matter too. I'm not really trying to find anyone right now though.
Between covid restrictions, my disability causing me chronic and debilitating pain, and the fact that I'm in therapy to deal with trauma... it's just not anywhere near time for me to be trying to find someone.
Yes and no. It would not ease the actual physical pain. No amount of love makes nerve pain and a tissue disorder calm down. But would having another person in my life to support me on my bad days help with the mental aspect of chronic pain? Maybe.
Or maybe it would just make me feel more guilty for not being able to be there for my partner the way they are there for me.
Plus, the trauma I'm in therapy for complicates my relationships a lot. That's why I stopped dating while I deal with it
Thank you man. I'm on a waiting list for a surgery that has a decent success rate at reducing pain from my condition, so fingers crossed
I don't feel like I've given up... but at the same time.. I'm not really anticipating or waiting for "the one" either.
Maybe it's because I don't really search for relationships at the time.. I don't know.
I've accepted I might be just me, and it's okay. I wouldn't be ready to even live with someone, that shit scares me.
What scares you? Genuinely curious
@FictionalCharacter I think I'm scared of it not working out. Scared that I will end up in a sour relationship where we argue all the time and that I will end up feeling like I'm trapped.
Also, I really value my alone and private time, so yeah...
There's probably more to it, but this is the first thing that came to mind... I might have some commitment issues
For me, it depends on the day. Some days I believe he exists, other days I don't.
But there are two things that I know for sure:
1) He doesn't live in the country where I live
2) He doesn't speak my native language.
I might find him in 2024 or 2025.

Hey thanks man!
I doubt I'd find another me lol. But seriously though, I've kinda given up. Hard to find people with the same values. Passively waiting for someone that I may like but feel it won't happen. In reality, I'm preparing to be single for the rest of my life.
Possibly, although I have possible doubts about that. Definitely the most unique girl I've ever met, she had never been attracted to anyone before so she was probably Aro as well.
I mean I don't want to get married either but that isn't directly associated with aromantism. Aromantic just means I treat women more like friends than a romantic lover even if I'm interested in them.
"My fairy grandma warned me cinderellas story only ended in a bad divorce the prince ain't sleeping when he takes his sleeping beauty to the motel on his snow-white horse. So call me a pessimist but I don't believe in it. Finding a truelove's kiss is bullshit." I stand by this statement.
No, I won't, I'm an asexual-aromantic, so I don't get those fell these kinds of things. I'm glad you found a person that makes you happy though.
Feel*
I can get physical pleasure from sex, I'm just not in it emotionally. I tried masturbating once... not it's nice and all, but not really my thing. I do admire people and want to be friends with them, just not in a romantic way.
I feel I met my soulmate but I chose my career over a relationship with him, never seen him again. Dated two other guys with no real feelings for either. So as of now I’m single. Meeting “The one” seems like a limiting term. I’m no longer waiting on “The one”.
There's not someone for everyone. That's just something that was made up to give people hope. Some people are destined to be alone, and the majority of us will end up with someone who is just ok for us.
I don’t think “the one” exists. I think people can get along perfectly (romantically) with several people rather than one person only. I’m very happy in my current relationship.
I believe people can learn to be happy with other people but would you at the end of the road after fifty to seventy to eighty years, think the one was myth or that you should have found them? What I mean is, would our happiness be different if we found the one compared to if we didn't?
I no longer believe in "the one" mentality so I 'wait' for nothing but I do still want to be loved one day, good question 😊
I fell in love at 16, I had been in a serious relationship till alittle after I turned 18. Some may say I'm young so it doesn't count but he was "the one" for me, so I kind of gave up on the idea. Hope that answers it!
wow. can you please tell us how the hell did you know at the age of 4, and also how did you make the one happen and last? help a hopeless romantic out
Same! It might had feel nice as a teenager but I have grown up passed the idea of the one.
@annyasansiri can't into all the details but God helped me mightily. God is the reason I knew at that age. And as for making the one happen, I couldn't have done it, even if I tried. God helped it to happen. Even the forever love we have was also written for us before the world began. God is to praise for it all.
I didn't vote. I'm just here to say that your girl is banging. She got you with those pretty eyes. I know it! You're pretty cute too and I ship you guys.
There is no 'one'. In fact, there are many suitable prospects for viable partner. This is why you DATE.
And there is no such thing as a 'soul mate' either. These are all platitudes for the weak-minded.
No, to find a suitable partner you have to mix and mingle, DATE good prospects. Have options, play the field. This way you'll have some experience and knowledge to properly assess their worthiness.
Waiting isn't the right word. I have to find or hunt for the one. Guys have to initiate most of the time. Yes there's a partner for everyone.
I don't know what being religious or not has anything to do with love from your atheist question.
God hinted to me some time ago that my life now is the way it's always going to be. Which is fine with me. I don't need a ring on my finger committing myself to drama for the last thirty or forty years of my life anyway.
I don’t think there’s “the man of my dreams” out there. But I do think that I’ll meet at least a few guys who make me feel secure and I’d be in a healthy relationship with. Whoever I end up marrying is reliant on timing I’d say.
as i see it for me being single. i don't have any drama bullshit being single. i'm single and staying that way
not for a moment as i am trying to get my life in order. i don't want or need drama in my life
I think there’s one person that is more suitable for you than others, so maybe that’s the one you’re referring to. I don’t think it’s easy to find this person, so consider yourself lucky if you already did. That being said, I think people can still be perfectly happy in other relationships without finding the one.
I think it depends on whether u have met the one or not. In my head, u would know if u have because it would be different from everything prior to this person. I think u can have it all and be as happy as u can without that being with the one. In that case u wouldn’t actually miss anything before u meet him/here (if u ever do).
That’s allowed 😊 was just trying to answer your question 😊
I found my one and we're getting married in 4 months! ❤️
haha thank you!! :)
It’s like I’m hopeful but I’m still having doubts. I’m old 😅
An emotionally healthy person can firm a successful partner with many others.
I already found the one but we aren’t together, I’ve never felt the same way I feel about her with another girl, but I don’t know because she’s probably not interested anymore, it’s been a long while
Me too man
"The One" doesn't exist. At least for men like me, who are less than a nine in looks and under six feet tall. So no. I've made my bed with the idea that I will likely die single.
most people eventually settle by the time they hit a certain age. From my experience, the ones who wait for the perfect one, tend to end up being single and childless and lonely for life. Dating doesn't get better as you enter your 40s-60s
@DianaWest most people are married and have all their kids before 40. this is for both men and women. Few people marry and have kids after 40
@DianaWest for women, start settling by the time you hit 30 / early 30s. For men, they have until their late 30s to settle. You also need to keep in mind that , if you're dating guys 35 or over who are still single, don't be surprised if you encounter some defective men.
Not all guys over 35 are defective , but just warning that its not uncommon to meet these inferior/ bad types.
@DianaWest listen hun, do not get married too early. If you get married too early, you will just find yourself divorced by 40. Pick wisely, take your time. The average age of marriage for a woman is around 31.
I had “the one” but it didn’t last and she’s now married to someone else. Hopefully I can eventually find someone else that may also be “the one” but I don’t know how many chances I’ll get at finding love.
Yeah. Maybe.
I don’t know if I believe anymore, I’m just focusing on my purpose , and if she happens great , if not great. Lord Jesus Willing she will or she won’t
Doesn't exist for every guy out there, myself included. Gave up years ago after realizing that truth.
Statistics is what convinced me and I see believing anything else is a lie. Also I can't think of any reason why at this point in my life I would need "the one" what could they bring to my life that I can't bring myself?
I don't believe love exists in everyone's lives, it certainly does not for me. Sex isn't something I care about. Companionship isn't even on my mind, I've been single my entire life. I used to want kids, used to but the stigmas surrounding single men and kids is not worth having kids as a single guy.
I also don't know what you mean by your other points, War Mate? Power? Energy? Twin Strategies?
"Two are better than one' the good book says. If they are two, they'd keep each other warm it also says and woe unto him that is alone. Love gives the asset of companionship.
Imagine you had someone who truly cared for you and your dreams as they do theirs, won't it feel good?
As for war mate, I mean someone that you face challenges together with. Your companion in battle.
Power; the good book says one chase a thousand, two ten thousand. She gives you power and energy to face any enemy.
Twin strategist... someone you think with.
I have blankets to keep me warm and I'm not looking for love, it's not something that has ever existed in my life and companionship isn't something I care to have, I don't even like being touch, hugs are actually painful to me.
If I actually had anyone in my life that cared about me at all in my past, I probably wouldn't feel like I do these days but the sad reality is, no one has ever cared about me, not one person.
I don't need a war mate, or power or some person to think with.
None of that would ever happen for me anyways, my face is always going to be too ugly for every female in existence. No female would ever come up to me wanting to get to know me because no female out there is going to ever think I'm not Ugly. Besides even if a female does approach me, I don't think I'd be able believe their motives.
What makes you think you are ugly? You had an accident or just your opinion? Beauty they say is in the beholder's eyes. Don't sell yourself short Chief.
Also the fact that something hasn happened does not negate that it will happen if you beieve. The good book says all things are possible when we believe
How do I know I'm ugly? Heard it my entire life from family, friends, random strangers, females. I was the kid who never got anything on Valentine's Day. Do you know what it's like to be part of a group on Facebook for mental health and you tell people you've been diagnosed with Body Dismorphia and a bunch of other issues, an they tell you "you're not ugly people are mean" they get you to lower your guard and convince you to video chat so you do and they talk to you all nice and they say "you're not ugly" but you can hear the lie in their voice and after the video chat they ghost you? I do. These are just some of the reasons I know how ugly I am.
God has abandoned me long ago, even god realized he made a mistake with me. I was forced to start believing in a different way of think than people who have know love in their lives. For you the line is "Just because you haven't found someone, doesn't mean you won't" or "Just because something good hasn't happened, doesn't mean it won't if you believe" well for me it's "Just because you haven't found someone, doesn't mean you will" or "Just because you believe, doesn't mean anything good will happen"
My faith and belief in the good book has done nothing for me an it definitely won't anymore since I know God has abandoned me an so now I am no longer a believer.
I don’t know if there’s “a one”. I don’t have any ideal man in mind rn. I’m just waiting for someone that falls for me as I fall for him, but i don’t have a clue of how he must be lol
Amen, brother. She's beautiful! God bless you guys.
(And yes, I still believe!)
Oh, okay. Cool
I thought I had found my one when I met a guy just 5 years ago but I guess it was nto meant to be as this guy died last year suddenly. Bur for me He was the ONE the one I was always looking
The one? Well, considering there's about a billion single women in the world, so that one fits better than others makes sense, but to believe I'd find her... Hell no. It's about finding one that fit better than most.
Found her...
And i now call her “ THE ONE WHO GOT AWAY “
Yes, he is out there somewhere or he isn't born yet and I'll be a cougar dating a young 20 yr old
It’s wonderful to see someone happy. To know you found the love of your life. 👏🏻❤️🔥
I don't really believe I'll find him but I can't help but keep on hoping. :
Not sure if I believe in the one, but hoping to find someone I have a connection with. Maybe looking for a spark.
I believe I found her but it took me 54 years, including one 17 year marriage.
Yes, and I'm ready to die alone if I don't find her; I find it safer for me to do so.
Glad you found someone. I'm not really looking anymore, though I never did devote much effort to it.
i am still waiting for the right one i have some hope left that she will come to me one day. dating and meeting people is hard for me but i still try.
I don't believe that there is someone out there for everyone. But I do hope that there is someone out there for me.
I found him years ago.
Don’t believe in forever so no
(Speaking only on monogamous relationships) Love is not unconditional, there is always conditions. For example you could care and absolutely adore your significant other and that could change in an instant if you found out they cheated (again just one example it’s not always based on cheating). It is unconditional love till someone messes up or reveals too much of themselves that makes their partner lose respect for them. Being inlove is great and can give you memories to cherish throughout life, but the concept of “forever” or “the one” is bogus for majority of people. I think it’s extremely rare for couples to have lasting love that doesn’t come with betrayal. We as people (not a gender thing men and women) have very high expectations for loyalty that most people aren’t capable of giving even if their heart was in the right place and they genuinely wanted to. you can be deeply inlove with different partners throughout your life in small spurts but being in lasting love with one person majority of your life is unlikely/close to impossible. it could be the trust issues from past relationships tampering with my views on “finding your true love” but I think it’s just realistic
I get you perfectly. Even on the conditional aspect of love.
I believe true love looks a lot like God. Personally, I consider myself not just lucky but blessed because God helped me find her. Without His help, I wouldn't have found her.
By my strength, irrespective of how strong I was, I couldn't have dreamt her up.
I always believed love was worth finding and I'm so thankful to God that all of this is His perfect will for me.
Yup, there's no rush tho
I believe there is a man out there for me
because the 1 is made up off the premise that no ones perfect and im into open relationships
Well i am wainting for the 2nd one now my first passed away
I've not been that active in the dating pool yet that's why
I thought I did. But it was all a lie.
I've found my one and only ❤
To be perfectly honest No just the next One
Waiting for the miracle to happen
Certainly not waiting.
I did and am very happy about it!
I found her 27 years ago
yes to be honest
I married her in 1967, and she died in 1988
Too old now I turned 29
Thank you for the positivity! 😊
I think I found the one. I waited forever.
I hope he would notice me
I still believe
Yes but I’ll never find her 🤷♂️
I already found him
I found her, but another man got to her first.
