I grabbed a breakfast sandwich on the way to work today. The woman behind the cash register wrote her name on the top of the box and wrote "Have a wonderful day" on the inside of the box. She also delivered the sandwich to my table after claiming the pager she had given me was defective. Was she flirting with me or just great customer service?

However, in your case, this lady is simply giving her customers a great service. Those things happen in a country where failure to do only what is expected of you can lead to losing the job. That is what happens when there are 20 people in line waiting for your job.

In a civilized country with low employment rate, this would never happen. If you want to keep your job in the US, you have practically to prostitute yourself and that is probably what happened to this waitress.

With women, it's impossible to know because they are the opposite of straight forward. Half of them complain men don't pick up on their subtle flirting, and the other half complain they can't be friendly with a guy because he'll think she's flirting.
