She says she likes me....then why does she always ignore my texts?

I have been dating a girl for about a month.

She is 21, I am 24.

We get along well, have fun, etc.

She says she likes me and I like her.

The only problem is that she ignores most of my texts.

I don't expect her to sit at her phone waiting for me to text her and promptly respond in a minute, but if I send her a text like "does Saturday work for you to hang?"...it takes her a day to respond (or she won't respond until I text her again the next day saying "hello..." or something).

Sometimes I'll send her texts that she completely ignores.

I understand she is busy (we are both college students), but I text her once every 2-3 days and I know I am far from being annoying.

So why does this girl hang out with me, tell me she likes me...but is so flaky about getting back to me? Are some girls just like this or can she be hiding something?

Most of the girls I have ever dated have been attached to their phones.

Maybe she likes you but is just really busy and doesn't have time to text all the time. My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 months now but I remember when we first started talking I used to ignore his text, not purposely, but I just got so busy with work and my friends and didn't have time to blow off on this guy what I liked. I would text him when I had time weather it was a day later or two days later. I've also been hurt by too many guys that I didn't want to drop my work and my fiends for a man that could possibly break my heart, luckily Steven gave me a chance and time and were now together and going good, just take things slow with her, if she's anything like me time is exactly what she needs, but don't give up on her if you like her

I can only assume she is playing hard to get. College kids are not so busy that it consistently takes a day to respond to a text. That is just rude, inconsiderate, and immature on her part. Have you tried mentioning something to her about it? You could bring it up either seriously or in a joking manner, as long as she gets that you don't find it entertaining in the least.

Do a 180, you're approaching this from the wrong direction. STOP everything you are doing and make her come to you if she wants to talk. She's being a flake on purpose, because every time you send a "hello..." or whatever text, she's wrapping you around her finger one more time.

I ignore texts too. If a person really gives a damn about contacting me they can call by VOICE (remember that concept?) It really makes a world of difference.
