Does this guy actually like me back or am I overthinking it?

guys im SO SORRY for not being active, i genuinely forgot to update you guys!

so the guy the previous questions were about and I have had some interactions, but not as much as last year since we only have one class together. this is what happened

first week of year 11(junior year for the Americans), I talked to him. i got the courage to walk up to his locker and he was super happy to see me! we talked whilst I walked him halfway to his class eeeeek

we had a swimming carnival, and my friends kept catching him glancing at me and when I looked to see if it was true hr waved omg 😭 I also went to talk to my friend who he was right near and he kept tryna join the conversation but the teached tolf everyone to go back to their bays lol omg it's not letting me make a new paragraph so here's the new one ------ so basically right, we don't talk anymore because I'm scared to come up to him and he's always with his friends , the locker thing was the last interaction weve had to eachother ughhhh, but he stares at me sometimes and everytime we walk past each other and he notices I'm there he tends to smile a bit! and 2 days ago , we had a cross country and he was running, he was walking but he looked at me and instantly started running again HAHA and then when he crossed the finish line inwas cheering so loud for him like he didn to me last year, and he was smiling under his breath AWWW HAHA, that morning too he was looking down and hebsaw me walking past and he started looking away like with his eyes not his head lol there's more but I'll say ir in the next question
