not sure but I had a more mature woman ask me how she is supposed to do the elliptical as I was on one lol. Kind of confused me! SO I just started to explain to her how and she hopped on the one next to me. It was cute, she's wasn't my type per se but I thought it was cute. Now she always smiles or makes small talk if we see each other.

You are overthinking it. Just go up and ask him a question. I rarely approach guys, if I liked a guy I typically would just wear something skimpy and get close to them, waiting for them to approach me. when guys approached me they always just started talking to me casually.
