Why did my coworker deny my Instagram follow request after a week?

Hello, I was on IG the other day at work and was looking under follow suggestions. It suggested my co worker so I hit follow. The next day I told her it suggested you and I sent her a follow request. She said okay and said I don’t go on IG much and it sat for a week and a half. Yesterday I canceled it and resent it to refresh it since in sat there for a week and she denied it today. Why?
