Girls, why does no one ever approach me or make the first move?

Girls, I want to ask you something. This might sound silly, but I’m genuinely curious. I’d say I’m average-looking. I work out regularly, I have a job, my own life, and a normal social circle. I’m not someone who stays at home all the time or avoids talking to people. But for some reason, it’s been a long time since anyone has actually approached me with the intention of getting to know me.

I value my life and I’m trying to work on myself in the meantime. Do you think I might come across as too distant or intimidating from the outside? Or have you experienced something similar, where no one seems interested for a while and then suddenly someone comes along?

Your look, meaning a resting bitch face and the vibe you give off?  The places you hang out and the people you hang out with? You're 19 and good looking, all the 19 year old guys are intimidated? Bad reputation? You suck at conversation? You're defensive by nature? Your arrest record? This happens to a lot of people, and it doesn't mean something's wrong with you.
Sometimes, the more you chase something, the more it pulls away.. but the second you stop caring, it shows up at your door. Just play it cool. Relationships these days are mostly straight up shit anyway, so there's no need to rush.

It sounds like you kind of know why or potentially why. You say that you maybe come off as distant or intimidating. Those could certainly be reasons people are guarded.

I have had that happen with me that I get the feeling that people maybe don't open up to me because I can come off as shy or quiet which can also look like distant to some. It is just my personality though.

At 19, you are learning to navigate the world.
try smiling more and be more approachable.
be kind and curious … go talk to others… they feel the same as you so no one approaches anyone around your age group lol… only you can make the difference.
Also be attentive to what others say and be a good listener. Be ready and able to respond to the conversation.

You're emotionally unavailable. Why do "slutty" women attract men? It's not because they're slutty it's because they know how to push the buttons that make a man interested (unfortunately with most of them it's a well practiced ACT and they actually have no interest).

You want men to approach you? you actually have to give them the a reason to. Closed mouths don't get fed. And a wiman who risks nothing, deserves nothing.
