It's not a great way to start a conversation because it's all about your opinion, nothing to do with them. You'll have more success if you compliment something they chose, like their hairstyle or clothing.

@DreamCrescent I completely agree. It's creepy for an adult man to comment on a girl's appearance, whether she's 6 or 16. Girls have more to offer the world than their attractiveness to men.
