Was this guy flirting?

I sat to dinner with a married guy who walked in looking SUPER STRESSED till I invited him to put his enormous bag down, breathe and enjoy his drink rather than standing stressed with his backpack on clutching his J&C in clear and active panic mode.

He chuckled, set down his bag and we started chatting. Nothing that registered as particularly flirtatious -- his job and kids and wife and upbringing (in that order) followed by what brought each of us there on a Friday evening.

But suddenly there were a few nonverbal interactions with other people at the restaurant and he kept commenting a bit too graphically for me on the interest other guys at the place were showing me. The way he was expressing it was very sexual and blunt to the point I asked him to stop.

He laughed and spent the rest of dinner teasing me about who would be taking me home that evening.

in my opinion, all very silly bander by a guy who was slightly older than me... payback for teasing him for looking stressed af when he'd first walked in.

A gal who sat with us (new to the area, etc.) was chatting with me and out of the blue asked how long the guy and I were married.

We both laughed and explained that we'd just met a few hours ago and were just sharing space for the moment. She insisted we looked like an old happy married couple and I couldn't tell why she'd said that at all.

It's not the first time someone has asked me and a fellow I've literally just met how long we've been married/together. I'm not sure what's giving off that vibe... I *particularly* didn't consider this clearly married fellow as flirting with me or acting as anything more than an impromptu dinner companion.

What do you think was causing the gal to pick up a flirty/couples vibe?

Probably she picked up on the fact that he was into you, even if he wouldn’t act on it because he was married with kids
