Poker face = face that shows no emotion. Real men never smile/don't show emotions. Most girls nowadays are into wimpy stylish boys and that's why I assume they prefer smiling boys. Am I right? Are girls attracted to smiling boys or do they prefer poker face men?

NO. I hate that sh*t. I f***ing hate the restrictiveness of the roles of a "real man", I hate machismo. So f*** that "derp only wimpy boys smile" sh*t. Although, honestly, f*** the idea of a "real man" in itself, I don't care. I want a genuine person, and if that involves smiling or showing emotion, all the better. On the other hand, I totally understand if someone doesn't show emotion in their faces. It doesn't matter that much to me. Although I do like those brooding, mysterious types...

Anyway (anecdote time), I remember there was this one kid who used to like me, who made it a point to never smile and never seem "soft". And I thought it was so lame. He straight up scared me! I thought he might shoot up the school or something. Ugh.

I prefer a guy who is not afraid to show his emotions. If you act stoic all the time, then how will I ever know when you're happy to be with me out in public? The poker face is cute, during poker. But why do you think that to show emotions is to be wimpy? That's a stupid generalization that doesn't really exist in our society anymore... unless you live in one of those middle eastern countries

smiling.. they're friendly, approachable, and aren't afraid to show they're happy. I love a guy with a funny bone and loves to joke around. I love a guy with a great sense of humor.. I couldn't stand it if no guys smiled or laughed.. they'd be boring to me.. I need some emotions.. they're not robots of heaven's sake.. show your happy and that will make everyone's attitude happier.

Nah man theses guys smile, you ever see these guy getting interviewed. Who do you think is getting more play tho A guy like J.T. or a guy like Arnold or Sylvestor. Do you think without there fame and money they would have it easy getting women?

I heard about this study but if I am not mistaken they were referring to men in pictures and not in person.

Maybe I don't represent most girls but I love guys who smile a lot, I hate the broody type. I am a happy person and smile constantly and would rather be around some like myself. Don't know why smiling makes them less of a man. Usually these guys are big and muscular and have no problem with the ladies. Maybe that is why they smile so much. LOL
