Sweet guy into me, too mellow for me but I want to get to know him, make him more "rude" and less "mellow"

I met this guy, a cousin of a friend of mine. I saw him just two times, and the first time he saw me, he was crazy about me. Asking about me to his friend, asking my number, all those things. He told me he's really into me and wants to meet up a lot. I can't do that Because I got finals and I have to study now.

Problem is: I think he's gorgeous, he's dead sweet and wouldn't dare to say a thing to upset me.

But that's the problem, we don't connect in characters. I want to get to know him, take time, but I kinda get the feeling that we wouldn't mesh very well. He's not a challange, he wouldn't disagree with me, be all "goody", and I want a challenge. He's not a tease, so when I tease him by saying funny stuff, playfully rude, he's offended.

I got kinda hurt by a guy recently, and he could be the guy I need, but he's too mellow.

I really wanna get to know this guy, maybe make him a bit more "rude" and not so mellow anymore, but I don't know how?

Making him a bit more rude can backfire, a bit more rude can eventually turn into him being a lot more rude. If he's getting offended because you are being playfully rude then just be playful, don't be rude. If he has a mellow swag then that's OK, get to know him more and give it a chance, be open minded. Sometimes opposites do attract.

Tnx, but it's like he wants to go too fast. I need time to get to know someone and fall in love with them. But like, when he grabs my hand, I'm too much of a wuss to tell him not to, because I know he'll be hurt I don't wanna move as fast as he does.

He must really like you. Sometimes pretty girls do that to guys, they want to move fast, sometimes without realizing it. If he's sensitive, when he grabs your hands you grab his and squeeze gently and then pull back, this will let him know that you are not rejecting him but, you are not at that point yet of holding hands.

Hm, that's a good idea. Next time I'll see him and if he wants to be all lovey-dovey and move a bit too fast, I'll just let him know :) that's the best thing to do, tnx!

if you like him, be friends with him, do not date him and do not try to change him. people change because they want to and I don't think its really OK to try and make him differnt from who he is.

But he's getting his hopes up every time I'm nice to him. I wanna be friends first, then see what happens and see if I'm into him. But he's moving a bit too fast

just tell him straight up, guys don't understand beating around the bush sort of things and what are they to e if you're leading them on? just say what you feel

Yea, I guess that's the best thing to do. Tell him I wanna get to know him first, not taking things too fast, giving me time and be openminded :) tnx
