Why does she keep pushing me away?

So the story goes!:

Me and this girl Allison were talking for like a year, and we were 'talking' day and night for hours. I finally told her that I liked her, and she pushed me completely away and now says that I'm not the right person for her. It's all understandable, it still hurts but there's another thing.

A year before that this guy liked her and she turned him down, except the next week the guy died. I don't know if this is why she pushes me away I was wondering what you guys/girls think about this. Because she still says that I'm an amazing guy that any girl would be lucky to date, yet she keeps pushing me away.

I don't think that's the reason she's turned you down. She just might not feel the same about everything as hard as that is. It doesn't make logical sense to me as why she would turn down another guy after a guy she already turned down died. What would have made sense was if her boyfriend had died and she turned you down then. But in this case I'm sorry, I just think she really was not interested. I also got turned down recently and it does hurt like hell but just keep looking out for someone else and remind yourself there are other girls out there. I believe in the out of sight, out of mind, mindset. It's helped me a lot in getting over rejection so maybe you should try and use that mindset as well.

You should really just ask her. You're close, so you should be able to talk about it openly.
