Does acting indifferent to your ex dumping you really make them want you back?

Would indifference to the break up and no contact make them want you back? What I mean is if you agree to the breakup and then immediately go no contact. Would that make them want you back?

Well everyone wants to feel wanted... and even though they are breaking up with you, a part of them enjoys knowing that you want them. So it would be pretty upsetting if you broke up with someone and they couldn't care less. But its not something that is for sure going to get them back.

However, its not something I would do. I personally think its better to be genuine about how you feel instead of pretending you don't care. There is nothing wrong with being upset about losing someone from your life.

I'm genuine with myself about my feelings regarding the breakup. That's the only person I need to be true to now. I am no longer in a relationship with this guy so I am no longer obligated to express to him how I feel. I highly doubt he would care anyway after all he broke up with me so that he wouldn't have to deal with that anymore.

well its better than acting like a clingy overemotional stalker lol. it can help make them want you back, but there are obviously some times when the ex just will not care at all and there is nothing you can do about it. but acting indifferent from my experiences for some reason makes the guy wonder about you and want you more than if you acted like you needed him bad like a heartbeat and the food you eat. the best thing to do in breakups is to back away and have no contact anyway

Yeah I was wondering. I kept having to contact my ex for my things. He ultimately thought I was contacting him because I was hurt over the break up and because of how he was treating me. Once I made it clear that I wanted my things back he seemed surprised. But yeah I was hurt by the break up but I accept the breakup. If he no longer wants to be with me then I don't want to be with him. I have too much pride to beg and whine for him like he is expecting me to.

No, he'll assume you've moved on so he will do the same. If you have to resort to tactics to get someone to want you again it's time to move on anyway. If you feel it's worth salvaging then just be yourself & act like you normally would, just don't be overly clingy. If he realizes he wants to get back with you, it will happen in time.

No, I wouldn't recommend games because they don't work. Act how you feel; if you want something fight for it.

I don't think so. He broke up with me. Also I am not playing games. If I act how I feel towards him it will only push him away further. He knows how I feel about him. I told him two weeks ago, and do you know what his reply was? Nothing he didn't say anything. Just cold silence. He knows how I feel about him but doesn't care. He wants me to chase after him.

If you act a way you don't feel in order to get an outcome that's a game. If you think he wants you to chase him and you think it will work go for it. I would just prefer to avoid games but I guess your a little younger and games are probably more common at that age.
