Do you agree that your exes (especially if they dumped you) come back when you least expect it?

From all the articles I've read, it seems as though the minute you give up COMPLETELY on them returning, or the minute you find someone else to be with, that's when your ex decides to come back and tell you those words that you were praying to hear the whole time you were broken up. "i miss you" "i want to be with you again" "i love you"..blah blah.

I will admit, I do have hope that one day my ex will come back as I know sometimes the timing just isn't right for 2 people. I am NOT sitting around waiting tho. I go on dates, go out with friends and such.

How many of you had an ex return when you NEVER EVER thought they would.(cuz they made it very clear they wanted nothing to do with you ever again) I'm talking like MONTHS(at least 6) or ever a year or more after the break up. and with NC the whole time or part of the time.?

The only answer is sometimes... They may not come right out and say they miss you or love you, but they come back out of nowhere and shock the hell out of you. Three out of four have contacted me again at some point. So it has happened before, but my last ex was probably the most serious relationship I have been in and she is not coming back. As sad as it is I will never hear from her again, and I understand that. So does it happen? Sometimes, but we will probably never get the love story phone call that we wait for... Just keep moving forward like you are and find someone who deserves you :)

It's been a month since I broke up with him because of his controlling, manipulative & lame attitude. He never really tried to fix things. He only sent a couple of texts saying "I would like to speak with you" which I totally ignored. I never heard a "sorry" or "love you" or anything like that.

Is that normal?

We were having a long serious relationship. We were getting married & he always said that I'm the most precious thing in his life.Ha!
