Guy gave me his email.. not his number?

So I've been talking to this guy for maybe a week tops online - he deleted his account but sent me a message that if I wanted to continue talking I could email him and he gave me his email.

Why would he remove his account? I guess I'm left wondering, I guess it was nice he gave me his email - but not his number .. you know? Maybe he is not as interested in looking for a relationship?..or there someone else

btw were both 20.. its just I can change that on this account!

Is this weird or what.. I just feel like something is off

since you were only talking online maybe he felt that's all you wanted to do so he gave you his email. Why not ask for his number or give him yours?
