Why do I get this urge to hug girls?

like, if I'm near a friend, I feel this weird need to hug her. I don't know why, I just do. I don't think it's anything sexual at all, I just want to do it. is that weird? cause I just suddenly started happening (like, I've never gotten that feeling before).

I've never really heard of that happening before lol, at least not considering the fact that it just started happening. All I can think of is that maybe you're just craving some affection from a friend, like just wanting some comfort?

I know that I only get like that around people that I'm very comfortable with. I'm not the most outgoing person, but once I'm close with someone, I start being very affectionate. I love hugging my friends randomly. But I've always been that way. . . do you really have no idea why it might be coming on suddenly? Has anything in your life changed recently?

Either way, it doesn't seem harmful or anything haha. Hugs are nice anyway, just do it if you feel like it :]

There's nothing wrong with hugging your friends. 'nuff said, physical contact is something that humans crave (most of the time) it's reassuring to know that someone is there for you. I mean, guys hug, and there's nothing sexual about that. Its just a good feeling knowing someone is able to be open with you. In a lot of countries, women greet each other with kisses, nothing sexual, its just a greeting, a way of saying "hi, I'm here, yay!". Hug as many people as much as you want, even if they don't show it, they probably appreciate it too.

Sounds to me like you are just happy and a friendly person. Hugging your friends is great. Who doesn't like a hug from their friend. I know I sure do. ^_^
