Why do guys approach my friend, but not me?

Okay so I am not asking this because I am overconfident, but I am fairly attractive and definitely a genuinely, kind person. However, I am a little frustrated, because guys approach my friends who are more average looking then myself but very nice girls, but I never get approached. I am friendly and smile, yet no one seems to like me. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I am not ugly compared to these girls.

I do not get it. Can anyone explain this to me? I feel so inferior next to these girls, because they always get the guys and I don't.

Men may be intimidated by you and already think they have no shot. But all of my friends get the guys so I feel ya, but it's not because I'm prettier. lol

Are you kidding me? Now a days its so rare that a guy approaches the girl first. But I'm always impressed with a guy who makes the first move. It also creates more feelings of attraction in me towards him.
