Why do guys look at me but NEVER approach me?

If it even matters, people consider me to be attractive. It seems that people are intrigued by me because of my sense of style and the way I carry myself I suppose... I'd like to think I'm a nice looking girl. Every where I go (school, mall, bars, ect) I get looks and stare downs but men never approach me. Why is this? I never really minded being the first to step up to the pate, I've actually taken the initiative to ask a guy out before once in high school.. This guy would stare me up and down everyday at school and I never even noticed my friend brought it to my attention and after a few day of his constant starring I approached him exchanged numbers I texted him he never texted me back. So from there I'd just prefer if the guy approached me. My confidence hasn't been the same sense now I'm more so afraid of rejection. Somebody help me I need answers!!

You are very attractive, but that is why guys don't approach you. It sounds confusing, but most guys (myself included) don't talk to very attractive girls because we know/think we will just get shot down straight away, because they are way out of our league.
Guys will look at you and think, wow she is gorgeous, but most the time you will not know this, as we won't say anything to you.
I know this answer isn't very helpful, but it is true.

Biggest pile of dog dung I ever heard. I think if a guy really wanted a chick, he'd go for it. I see my gorgeous friend get hit on all the time everytime we go out, guys go up and talk to her. Never mind being rejected, they'd take a chance. She has a very magnetic charismatic personality and maybe friendly smile on her face all the time so I think that helps.

there's a lot of negativity about guys approaching girls going around lately (at least where I'm from), it's seems to be seen as sort of a sleazy thing to do. This could be a factor, but really I think it's just because you're really pretty and that's probably intimidating them. Try going on the offensive!

Guys are intimidated by beauty. Some men don't think they're good enough. That's why a lot of guys will give you a look like they want to talk to you but their confidence isn't high enough to make even that move.
