Why guys don’t approach me?

I’ve noticed that guys rarely approach me, and when I do make the first move, they often seem to lose interest or walk away. I tend to skip the eye contact phase (when a guy look at me from afar) because I’m shy, but I still expect them to come over if they notice me. And when they don’t, I approach them instead and I try to start a conversation, but then I notice the next time they usually avoid me or seem uninterested. Why does this happen?

No eye contact and not smiling is a problem.

Guys won't generally approach someone who is acting unapproachable, although they may be willing to shoot their best shot if she is exceptionally beautiful. If you find a guy attractive, you have to let him know you are interested by making eye contact and smiling. But as DishLady said, never approach a guy, unless it's a quick walk by/flirting thing. It comes off as desperate otherwise. Create a space or opportunity for him to do so.

The other possibility is that you are overweight and have an insecure vibe or are unattractive somehow (hair, piercings, tats, lack of facial symmetry, teeth, etc.). Or that you dress sloppy or in a particular style. Most people can do things to boost their attractiveness, but most don't know where to start or how to motivate themselves. Focus on getting yourself feeling confident and gorgeous first, and you'll have heads turning.

Don't approach guys. It's something they CLAIM to want, but it just means you will have to keep making every first move after than, which ultimately gets boring for a woman. It also tends to land the guy (and possibly you) in friend zone. (Don't be with a man who doesn't know how to be a man.)

What are you doing (or not doing) to attract male attention? From your description, you're doing things that are turnoffs. You need to figure out what those are.
