If a guy doesn't initiate contact ever, but shows that he likes you in other ways, is he interested?

K this guy I like never speaks to me first. So I always go and talk to him to let him know I'm interested and then we can talk for ages and he seems really into me when we talk. When I ask him for help he bends over backwards to help me, he said I was genuine and a nice person, so does he like me?

And how come he never initiates contact? I'm. Confused by his mixed signals, help!

He's a Do-er guy. I'm like that. I have my own things to do, errands to run, responsibilities to take care of. Sounds like he likes you, but he's... not a multi-task kind of guy. I'm over simplifying the situation, but you'll notice if he's doing dishes, or surfing the net, he won't be capable of holding great discussion.

On the flip-side, if you need something done he'll get it done. He's dependable and reliable.

So, if you really want to make it work. Ask him to call you at 9pm. Then ask him you call you at 9 again the next day, and the next. He'll get the hint...or least the habit. Good luck.

I've had a girl say, "You know what, if you asked me out to dinner or something I'd say yes..."

It turned out I needed that hint, but mostly because I was an idiot.

Just realize that if you have to hold a guy's hand past his shyness and insecurities then you'll be setting up your relationship that way too.

Which might suck.

An alternative would be to go out and meet two hundred more guys more likely to take the reigns?

1) Don't "ask" a guy out. Simply give him an opening he can't refuse. Like, "Hey, I've been dying to try that new steak house... wanna join me sometimes this week?"

Spend alone time with him, like a date, without calling it a date. And show him how much fun you are to be with, and how fun you find HIM to be with.

Seduce him by flirting, laughing at his lame jokes, and touching him more often than you should. Whisper the punchline of a joke in his ear if you want to give him shivers...

Have you ever put him on the spot.. Y'know.. like ask him what his situation is.. is he seeing someone else.. that sort of thing.. most guys.. if they find that a gal is initiating communication.. She's a definite keeper... lol.. at least that's what I feel... maybe its time you get some answers from him.. otherwise your just going to get hurt after you find out he's already taken when your trying too hard to get him to notice you... hope it works out well for you :)

Thanks! Well he's come out of a long term relationship so I don't wanna a) seem like the rebound or b) seem too eager. It's hard I wanna just pour my heart out to him but don't wanna get hurt nthe process just in case he doesn't see me in that way :(. What are some definite signs a guy likes a girl? Well what do you do to show a girl you're interested in her more than a friend?

Yes he keeps himself to himself but he talks when spoken to, and we have loads in common, but I don't know really like him but don't wanna go for it and get shot down. How can I be sure he likes me?
