If a guy knows you like him and he’s not interested or pursuing you, why would he continue to flirt with you?

My guess is BOTH genders do it for an ego boost. The reason I said "woman" is because this is a more common tactic used by women because guys typically do the initiating which gives the female more of the opportunity to do this.

Odds are it's an ego boost. I have rule with women. I ONLY give them the energy they give me. They talk to me, I talk to them. They ignore me, I ignore them. They are warm with me, I'm warm with them. They're cold with me, I'm cold with them.
If she fluctuates too much, I assume this is her game, and I just break off all contact altogether.

There are 4 billion men on the planet why talk to the one that really doesn't communicate with you consistently? If he doesn't know how, that's his problem let him learn how and then get back to you. This is my take on it anyhow.
