If A Guy Doesn't Try Anything Physical After About of Month Besides Hugging...Is He Just Not Interested?

I've known this guy for about a year and a half...we hung out in groups, but only recently by ourselves...about the past month...we've only hugged...I was even sitting with him on his bed...and he didn't try anything...but when I was leaving his house...he asked if I'd "Go Out" with him...but I don't get how that is any different from what we were doing before...

I know that I could be the first to make a move...but I'm very inexperienced, and have never kissed.

So, should I just move on and assume he isn't into me anymore than a friend?

Sounds like he wants to make it 'official'. Like boyfriend girlfriend status. Kinda seems like you guys were good buddys before and even if you thought it was more, he is defintiely making it a point to say he wants to be in a relationship with you now. Seems like you guys like each other, so take it slow and have fun. Just cause he hasn't sleep with you yet doesn't mean he's not interested in you, gee everything don't have to be about sex. It doesn't compare to when you love somebody anyway. Consider him a gentleman. Its an exciting wait game, and flirting can be just as fun.

I told him "yes"...but that I thought we were already going out...and then he said he meant "like on a real date"...but we have done stuff people normally do when they are dating...so I'm confused...I didn't want to keep asking him questions...so I just told him we could talk about it later...

No, I'm not (and I didn't say I was his girlfriend...I don't know what he meant when he asked if I would go out with him...so status is unknown...)...we are in our mid-twenties...he had 4 before...and last year I he was engaged...right before we started classes together...and she cheated on him...so he broke it off with her...

I don't know what I am to him...

I think you should probably ask him if he thinks you're dating or if he wants to. You two aren't communicating very well.
