Guys, If he's not interested why does he act like it?

Question

I was seening a guy. I thought he was interested. He tended to look at me all the time, tried to get my attention, eavesdrop and repeated words I said. He also touched me a lot. He came over to me at parties and so on. But he never talked or did anything sexual.
But when I texted him he didn't seem interested. It was like I was texting another person. When I asked him out he always said that he was busy. When we finally made plans he flaked on me, he was busy. I had enough and unfriended him on Facebook. He texted me the next day but I'm not going to give him another chance.
What is this? Why was he acting like that?

Well, in my opinion... He may well genuinely be very busy. Now, Avoiding the endless alternative possibilities as to why he's acting that way, I'm going to highlight something very impressed in this situation and in any other situation that involves any two people. COMMUNICATION. Truth be told, the guy himself maybe the only one who knows why he's being different over text and why finding time for you is seeming to be a struggle. Communicate with him, ask him exactly what's on your mind, and be civilized about it, jumping at him like he's done something wrong may only worsen the situation or he turns defensive and looks for an excuse, which won't be the real reason.

Pull a couple of strings if you can, try organizing and getting him to that first date yourself, if that goes successful, make your intentions known and then ask him these questions, in a conversational format. Now what will be key at this stage is that you build a comfortable "two people just being frank" environment around your conversations, and expect to be disappointed and don't shut him down or get dramatic if he does, look for a way forward with him, if not with him then with yourself. Respect that he has his own tastes and that you two are more similar than you think. So... Are you ready to open your mind to him explore his?

If im honest that sounds extremely strange.. maybe he's really awkward and came upto you at the party because he was drunk. May like you but be extremely awkward perhaps. doesn't seem like he would bail on you for no reason.. depends if he's a player or shy i guess.. hope this helped ☺ can you answer mine please 😄

Some guys will act interested just to have the feeling of being wanted by a women and to know that they could have said women. It's a self confidence thing, guys will sometimes do a catch and release just for the thrill of the catch. Sucks but it's just true about guys

Texting you (back) means that
a) he might be getting over the initial shock of being pursued, building confidence sloooooowly
b) he feels more comfortable, in charge if the pursuer

Watch what they do, not what they say.
That's what we usually say about women as they'll say almost anything to try to manipulate a situation. If a guy is doing that then he's just not very sure of himself, maybe he's interested or maybe he's just meh. You won't know unless you can get him to show you how he really feels. Let him make the moves if he's interested. If he's not, he won't.
You can't negotiate attraction or passion. It's either there or it isn't.

It sounds more like a socially awkward person was trying to make a friend then someone trying to get you to show interest.

I think you might have misread the signals, sent them back, and that made him uncomfortable.

Not all guys are looking for relationships, I have many girls that I'm good friends with and spend a lot of time with but I'm not intrested in going on dates or even sexually because that creates its own mess if the girl thinks it will lead to a relationship. It may just be different from his point of view here

Guys can be as much of a jerk as a girl can. Possibly due to a previous relationship he had before. Guys and Girls are treated bad as a result of previous relationships they have no control over.
