Why does he hide himself when he sees me?

I was interested in a guy and showed him by my actions. Often, I would glance at him. Then I moved on, because I know that he was not that interested as I thought.
But now, everytime I just walk past his group of friends and look at him for like only one second, he hides himself.

What annoys me is the fact that I clearly showed that it was over and didn't want anything with him anymore.

Why does he act like if I was still chasing him which I'm REALLY NOT.
