If your crush's best friend likes you, and they're really close..will he back off for his best friend?

If this boy doesn't know you have no interest in his friend...will he still try and "choose the right thing to do" and let his friend have a shot? Or will he go through with it because he likes her?

Well, I'd have to say it depends on how pretty the girl, how much I like HER, and how close this friend and I really are...I mean if she's not that into me or she's not my type, I wouldn't bother, but if I think she's drop dead gorgeous and has a beautiful personality and I just cannot stop thinking about her then I might as well give it a shot. But if this friend and I are very close and we hang out all the time, I'd try my best not to hurt him...

This has happened to me before...twice.

Once my crush's brother liked me... neither one made a move so I'm guessing they both backed off

Second, my crush and his best friend both liked me. They would both flirt on occasion and then I eventually started liking both of them but non of them asked me out. I am guessing they both backed off.
