Why does he make me mad on purpose?

He will say stuff on purpose and make me mad and he knows in why like we already have a long distant relationship

it could be for any reason. It could be that he's testing you to see if you still care, or it could be that he is trying to push you away for some reason. Maybe he's finding the long distant relationship difficult? or feeling out of touch with you? the only way you can truly find out is by asking him. Don't make a conflict out of it if you can. It can only add a greater feeling of distance between you.

Just ask him how he's feeling about the relationship, or let him know you've been thinking about him and you wonder if he thinks the same. Just enough to give you a small indication of what is going on with him.
