Why are girls attracted to masculine guys? why are they hard-wired, instinctively attracted to masculine guys?

Why? what is the logic in it? why is it that the things, traits, qualities that make a guy "masculine" according to life, society, make him attractive to girls?

It's not nearly as important for a girl to be feminine in order to get, attract a guy as it is for a guy to be masculine to get, attract a girl.

overall, it makes me angry, pissed off, all the time, I hate the standards, traits, qualities, the rules of "masculinity" that make a guy boyfriend material, hate how guys have to be a "Man" in order for girls, women to be attracted to them, makes me have a deep, strong mysogynistic hatred towards women often

It's biology. Females in any species have always been attracted to "alpha males". Look at all the male wild animals who put on shows or fight to win over a female. The female picks the winner.

Now obviously, HUMAN females are much more evolved and are therefore able to choose a guy based on much more than masculinity. But, at first glance, women notice the manly men. Just like men, at first glance, tend to notice the "pretty" girls (though, obviously, different men have different ideas about what's pretty.)

Interestingly enough (though this is possibly TMI for a guy) when a woman is ovulating, she instinctually starts to look for masculine men because they're genetically more inclined to produce ideal offspring. Again, this goes back to animal instinct.

Any other time of the month though, a woman might prefer a more quiet/intellectual/soft spoken guy.

Oh definitely not lol any woman worth having can look past the alpha/beta aspect when it comes to appearance and decide if she's interested in the guy himself. I've successfully dated both, though I tend to go more for beta boys...they tend to be sweeter and have a nice personality and sense of humor.

Do you prefer girls to be feminine or masculine? They are girls = feminine. Now regarding levels of femininity you like..that's up to you..same things with masculinity in guys. I mean if you want an example...naturally I'm attracted to masculine guys..because I'M A STRAIGHT GIRL..lol..but I think it's hot and cute when guys cry or express how they feel without being jerks about it. Actually it is very important for me for a girl to be feminine for me to be interested in her. I'm friends with boyish women but I'd never date one.

It's that basic attraction, women are drawn to masculinity the same way guys are drawn to curves. But I'm not sure about your assumption that it's not nearly as important for girls to be feminine. For example take girls with completely short hair, they seem less feminine and lots of guys would not date them no matter what. Most guys would rather go for nurturing and sweet girl rather than a girl who shows outstanding leadership qualities and ability to stand up for herself because the first one is considered feminine. But girls DO also love sensitive types of guys, so it's not all about being a manly man :)

Isn't it partly down to survival of the fittest? Like a girl sees a guys masculinity and sees that he would be a good protector... just like a guy looks at a girls curves and sees them as a sign of fertility.

It depends on the person's psychological evolution. You will find that people who lack this evolution will disply archaic interests. Survival of the fittest is an extinct termonogly and it comes down to the brain in this generation for survival. That being said, I do find men who are 'masculine' attractive but I do not care about protection. I can defend myself and have. I care more about your inner growth rather than your short lived bodily attributes or taught egoism.
