Girl didn't text back after I asked her out for a drink...

Met this girl last week, and she's fantastic and we've seen each other quite a bit recently (we are on the same postgrad course) and there's been some sparks and little signs and things.

So I text her to see if she was on campus, (I wanted to ask her out for a drink face to face), but she text back soon after saying she wasn't. So then I text her back instead to ask her for a drink. And she didn't reply to that one all day.

Should I read anything major into this? Should I text her again to see what's up? Or leave it till I see her again (which I will next week)?

Any number of reasons she didn't get back to you. Don't assume it was you, right away. However I wouldn't text her or call her unless she gets back to you. The last thing you want to do is start accusing her (unless you do it in a funny way) or overcrowding her...remember, girls scare easily and overcrowding is one way to scare them.

If she comes up to you the next time she sees you and has a legit excuse as to why she didn't answer, she's probably interested and you can just write it off as "well there's always next time"

I'd wait until you see her again, and maybe casually bring it up if it feels natural. Asking a girl for a drink in person shows more confidence than through text, ergo, she'll be more likely to respond. Unless she's one of those shy girls who prefers dealing with things at a distance through texts or whatever, but if that were the case, she'd have responded. So wait till you see her again and ask her then, maybe suggest something other than a drink.

yeah don't text her anymore because you don't wanna come off as pushy or creepy. wait for her to tex you, so you know she actually still wants to talk t oyou lol if she doesn't move on, if she does great! don't ask her out again until she expresses WITH HER WORDS that she wants to hang out with you

Well honestly it could be both ways, maybe she run out of battery it happens sometimes or the worste case scenarios she's not that into you, sometimes I don't have the balls to say no to a guy because I feel sorry so I just avoid it

Seriously don't text a girl for a date. It makes it seem like you don't have enough confidence to do it directly. Call her right now, make some light convo, and then tell her "Let's go get drinks. It will be fun."

if/when you see her you should say to her "you could at least said no." that's it. no begging buddy.

Exactly. She read the first message and she likely read the following one too. She's not interested but don't worry.. if she can't be bothered to text you back in time then she's not worth the effort.
