How do you tell when a girl is flirting?

Question

The actual question is how would I tell when a girl is flirting with me, and when she is not? (Yeah, very creative question, I know.)

I consider myself to be slow, and a teensy weensy itty bit too aggressive sometimes (Sometimes.) Slightly immature and am nice enough from what I am told. Now, 'slow', I can't even tell what flirting is if it kicked me in the balls.

I feel like some sort of little kid where when some hot lady says "Hi" back she is "totally into me."

Very straight forward question in my opinion, but I guessed I should put in some detail. Just.. Indulge me and answer my question.

Tricky question. All girls flirt a little bit differently, so what I do when I'm flirting might be what one of my friends does when she's not. Also, a lot of time it depends on the situation - in one context, what I'm doing might be flirting while in others' it's not. That said, here are some of the things I do. If I have made up my mind that I like you (e.g., this is not the first time we've talked, we know each other somewhat, etc), I will smile a lot. The longer I hold eye contact with you, the more I'm flirting with you. I will laugh at all your jokes, I will ask you about things I know you're good at (to give you a chance to show off), and I remember with great detail what you said about yourself (and probably use it to start another conversation with you another time). I will almost certainly tease/lightly make fun of you about something if I get a chance (like your hat or your sports team or what you like on your pizza). Personally, I don't like initiating physical contact when I've just started flirting with someone, but if she puts her hand on you or something else not accidental, for a lot of girls that's a good indicator that she's flirting with you. I typically lean towards you. Playful arguments are another good one (heated arguments are bad). If I think that you like me too but are a little shy, I'll maybe compliment you.

So, yeah. It all kind of depends on the situation, the guy, and the girl involved.

it can be tough to tell because every girl is different. generally if she smiles at you a lot, holds eye contact with you, and touches your arm that's a pretty good indication.

other good signs include laughing with you- especially at jokes you make and complimenting you

Girls usually flirt by making physical contact with a guy when flirting.  A playful hit or a hug, or a brief touch on the arm, hand, shoulder, or leg are signs that a girl is flirting with you.  Girls also flirt by twirling/ playing with their hair. Getting close to you to talk, invading your personal space, complimenting you, creating dialogue, and conspicuously checking you out while talking to you are signs of a girl flirting with you. Pay attention to her body language. If her body is upright and pointed towards you and her eyes is frequently makes contact with yours, she's flirting.

IDK about flirting being "Subliminal"

there are obvious signs that you can pick up if you pay close attention, but are easier to see from the outside looking in.

1. Good eye contact

2. Smiling at you

3. Laughs with you

4. (now some girls are too shy to do this) Will be physical with you

5. Generally facing you directly

aside from those things, girls will have little quirks you can also notice, but the best way to really see is to go to a club and just watch how girls act to other guys, you will see things that stick out when they are flirting.

Most flirting is subliminal and people aren't even aware they are doing it. So often, girls do't even know they are flirting. Then, when you respond, they get angryy and think you're being overly aggressive.

So don't worry about how girls react, just go with what you are feeling from them. Watch their eyes and see if they are playful, and focusing on you, or shifting around the room and calculating.
