She thinks she's so out of my league and the rejection hurts

I got rejected by a girl who considers herself so much better looking than she actually is. As a result, when I'd normally have a shot with her (especially combined with my personality, which she loves), she thinks she's out of my league and is basically waiting for a 8, 9, or 10 to come along and whisk her away. I'm disappointed that she isn't taking me seriously and it hurts all the more that I got rejected by someone I so plainly had a shot with that it has ruined my confidence because if I can't get her, then how can I get anyone else?

WHOA WHOA WHOA! This whole 'out of my league" bs is exactly that BS!

There is NO SUCH RULE that states that a girls who's a 1-10 can not get with a guy who's a higher number or lower number on the scale from hers.

I'm not here to sympathize with you, because your ideology is WRONG!

In fact I may even make you feel more sh*tty than anything else, but I don't think anyone else is going to smack you with some realism.

So lets begin the dissection...

1.The fact the you don't see her as a 10 to begin with and are belittling her, only goes to show that you OBVIOUSLY DID NOT like her.

2.The fact that you think that just because you're in the same league or near it makes you an egotistical jerk.

3. Just because she loves your personality does not mean she has to be automatically attracted to you.

4. The fact that your hating that she thinks she's a 10, and want's something better then your classified number you have given yourself, is obviously do to your jealously and lack of confidence.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SCALE! If you live your life thinking of that stupid little scale you're only going to kill your self-esteem.

You screwed up big time when you expected her to like you because of your amaaaazing personality. Just because she likes it, doesn't mean she has to get with you. This stupid ideology of guys with low self-esteem who THINK that just because the girl they like has something in common with them automatically means they would make a good couple, is so ridiculous.

If she honestly believes she's a '10' and feels like a '10' then more power to her, because unlike you she doesn't have a number holding her back. She's at the 'top of the scale' and can pick and choose as she wishes. I could give two shi's whether she's a complete and total B and the ugliest person on earth, the fact that she has the confidence and self love is proof enough for me to side with her than pity you.

I've had many guys approach me who thought that just because we were in the 'same league' or near it and had one thing in common that we should date. They even went so low as to try and convince me into. If a girl is not attracted physically or personality wise it doesn't matter whether your a '1 or 10'. Yeah sure some girls live off the scale, but if a guy has the confidence and assertiveness he can easily snatch her.

My brother is a very attractive man and when he turned 20 he started living off the scale and taught me to as well. He's dated nothing but '10's'. They were all different looking and not the same shape or size. Every girl he talks to whether she's a '1, 4, or, 6 is a big fat 10' in his book and he's never been happier.

Tip number one, get the hell off the scale. If you stick to it all you're ever going to do it stay in the same spot. If you believe your're a '10' then you'll have the freedom of moving 'down and back up the scale' as much as you like.

I'm sorry but you're not going to gain anything thinking like you do now.

You can't get her because she's actually silly. Firstly, judging people by their looks. Secondly, thinking of herself as of a princess. Thirdly, blurting it out to a guy who likes her. You can't get her because you can get someone way better than her.

Aside from letting a single rejection have a major impact on your confidence levels, you've made two classic errors which for your own sake, you should try not to repeat again.

1) Don't wait until you've invested all your hopes in a girl saying yes, before you ask her out.

2) Don't ever go up to a girl thinking - she's the lowest of the low, the bottom, the bitter end - if she rejects me, I will never get any girl

Talk to her for a bit, sure. But don't wait until you've started developing feelings for her. When you know you like the look of her, ask her out.

A date should be when you get to know someone. You're getting to know them first, and then pinning all your hopes on them, before doing the actual asking.

Rejections like this are the WORST. When you have known someone for a long time.You and others around see yourself compatible with them, but they are quite unrealistic about who they want. Nothing can quite mend rejection, but the best remedy I know is to move on to the next one. It's tough but needs to be done

Awwh, I know it hurts, but you have to look at this from different dimensions.

This girl may have a beautiful face, but apparently her mind and soul are not all that beautiful.

It's one thing for her to be so narcissistic to actually believe she is out of your league, but another thing for her to inconsiderately, insensitively voice that to you. Yeah, she may find a 8,9, or 10 who is just as tactless, rude, insensitive, inconsiderate, shallow, and relying on his looks instead of his mind which is exactly what she deserves. Don't feel bad; b*tches like that don't deserve good guys :)
