Is it a good idea to buy your crush a Christmas present even though you know she isn't interested?

I think its a good idea if its something small and with thought. This guy who liked me throughout high school (and I like him) was too shy to ask me out or tell me his feelings. He used to give me random presents and xmas/bday presents all four years. It gave me hope that he might like me. We're dating now and he still gives me random presents! hahaha. I'm not talking big stuff. He tried to give me really unique neat things that no one else would ever give me (and I did the same) ex. He made a cartoon of me, gave me a coconut (a day after I said I wanted to eat a coconut fruit salad), a game that I had mentioned I wanted to play, a hello kitty clock, rechargable batteries after I complained that my gameboy kept dying at crucial moments when I used to play (lol), etc.

Just something that shows you listened to her but something small. Its sweet but if its too big/expensive and you're too obvious it'll feel more like a bribe.

I say don't bother, if she ain't interested before I highly doubt she'll be interested after you give her the present. If I were you, I would save it for that special someone, who feels exactly the same about you :) If you HAVE to get her something, get her a small fruitcake or a pen, or a shirt that's too big :P I wouldn't bother anyway lol

No it'll make her feel uncomfortable, especially because she won't have gotten you anything. I'd suggest if your going to get her something anyways just find out her favorite kind of candybar, put a ribbon and little note saying "merry Christmas, from ______"

Absolutely not. If she's not interested, why are you wasting your money and emotions on a girl who will never reciprocate them? Delete her from your phone, don't hang out with her and start hitting on new girls who actually might like you back, instead of chasing after a lost cause. Drop this current girl and man up, and move on.

I voted no. When I was in HS, I bought this girl I liked a 10k gold bracelet for $50.00 at Wal-Mart. I was gonna give it to her in class but didn't because I found out she had a Boyfriend right around the same day.  If I were to give it to her I would of looked liked an idiot.

I once knew a kid in 8th grade who had a crush on one of the popular girls in class. For Valentine's day he spent $100.00 on a beautiful ruby pendant necklace. She accepted it but took the pendant off and just wore the chain. Ouch.

No, its best not to open a can of worms on this. If it's for secret santa then abide by the money restrictions and get her something that she would like or something generic like chocolate or a gift certificate to a mall.

Likeeee, if you notice something about her that sticks out, like she religiously puts on lipgloss, get her some. If she has a hobby, a gift card to a craft store or something. :D

aside from the secret santa thing, if you guys are friends then there's nothing wrong with getting her a Christmas gift. if it's more of the admire from afar kinda thing, then it's a bad idea.

it is counterintuitive, but if you do you are doing the opposite of what you want. I was very much like this "girl-repellant", if you really like/love her, give it time, behave like a man, not like something less. Just don't do it.

U shouldn't get her a gift. She isn't interested in you so it will b awkward to give her a gift. At least I would feel that way if a guy I knew liked me and I wasn't interested and he knew it. I would probably b irritated 2! Take my advice so you won't make a fool out of your self because it will spread and everyone will make fun of you especially if she already has a bf

I would be flattered by the fact that someone who I am not in a relationship with thought of me and got me something. If you do end up getting her something, make it something simple, like candles or lotion. nothing expensive, she'll feel offended.
