Why does my crush talk more when were alone, then when there are people around. Like when were at the gym...?

When were at the gym, we see each other sometimes. You noticed that when there are other peple around doing weights or what not, he doesn't talk to me, or barley acknowledge me, but when no one or minimal people are around he comes up to me and talks to me. Its confusing why he does this.

I do the same thing when I like a girl, I don't want to talk around other people because I don't want them ruining the conversation which I have VERY CAREFULLY planned in my head so I don't look like an idiot. It Also limits embarassment in case of rejection.

So if you want stuff to get moving you should start the talking, he is probably a pretty shy guy who is nervous about talking to you, so its hard for him to start talking. I suggest you maybe ask him out, because chances are he will be slow about it because you intimidate him,((thats a complement, it means your so great, that he thinks your out of his league))

It's like that for a lot of guys. They're sorta shy (even if they seem outgoing in general) around girls and can only really open up if they're alone with you. Some guys do that automatically though and don't even realize it's bothering you, so TELL HIM, and he'll change.

My girlfriend didn't tell me and was pissy for a few months without me knowing what was wrong until she broke up with me telling me that we never hung out at school enough and that she felt it was like I was embarassed about her, which was totally not true, but she'd already made up her mind.

he might be embarassed or think the people he hangs around might not like you or they talk about you I can only guess but try a confrontation when his friends are around and see how it goes

I completely agree with koloblicin, I do the same thing. It's so annoying when you finally pluck up the courage to talk to the girl you like just for it to be ruined by her friends butting in. Maybe you should make the first move and see how he is with that. I'm quite shy and I find when the girl approaches me its easier to talk.

He's self conscious, he's extra aware of others around him and very conscious of his perceptions of his surroundings. In other words you're sharing his attention with everything else in the environment. This isn't bad or abnormal, it just "is" for some people.

well there are two things that could be going on 1 he has a girl friend but he likes you more then her or he does not want his friends to know he likes you
