Help! My friend told me gym crush that I like him...now what?

Hi,

So I've been crushing on this guy who works at my gym for a couple of months now. My friend who I go to the gym with has caught him starring at me. However, I am too afraid to approach my gym crush since he works there. Anyway, my friend flat out told him that I am interested in him today...and she did it in front of me. I awkwardly smiled and nervously told him 'yep its true...' and smiled back. Then he smiled back and said 'let me know if you ever wanna talk, we can even talk now if you want?' We were on our way out of the gym but I replied saying 'next time! byeee' and then smiled. This whole scenario was a little awkward for me...I am normally a VERY social girl but I am super nervous around gym guy...

What do I do next time I see him?

and do you guys think he might be interested or trying to be polite?

First off, relax. You haven't screwed up anything yet. What I would do since you don't know what days he works is to come back the same day next week and if you see him when you come in, smile. Then go to working out for about 20 minutes. After that go up and say hi and apologize to him about your friend. Just be like hey sorry about my friend the other day, but I get kind of nervous around cute guys and she likes to give me a shove sometimes. He will think your adorable if you say that. Trust me. Then just start talking to him. You want to know about him, right? So ask about him! Good luck.

I think that he is interested in you. If he wasn't that into you, he would have just said something simple like "cool." or just smiled at you. Not said all that stuff. Next time you go to the gym start talking to him. come approach him, feel confident in yourself. Guys love a confident girl, but not c*cky person. Just remember and just ask him how work is going, what he has planned for this weekend, just small talk. But it will slowly work your way up from this talk to more personal questions like phone numbers if everything still goes well. But just remember to BE CONFIDENT in yourself!

Nothing. do nothing. Talking to this kid or over reacting will come off as crazy. Let him come to you. The ball is in HIS court. Men are predators by nature. You sent out the "i'm into you"...now you wait and see if he'll take the bait. if he does...mazel tov! Hurray!

I think he was flattered by what your friend said and in most cases he's not going to be like "yeah I like you too.." no he needs some cooling downtime to process what he wants to do next. So let him DO the next move, when he wants to talk, you'll see him.

When you see him next time, do not under any circumstances show him how nervous or awkward you feel. Walk in with confidence and talk to him as if you'd talk with any other guy friend. Throw in some cute innocent flirting moves too :) Just pretend like he doesn't bother you. Trust me, it works.

I "trick" myself into not feeling shy/awkward/nervous (very helpful in Speech) anytime I feel like that.

hahaha first of all, your friend is an a**hole hahaha. but I mean, hey now he knows. you made your move (even if its unintentional) and now its up to him. but I feel like when he said "we can even talk now if you want" it showed slight interest. it really is hard to tell at this point.

Breath, focus on the present and just try and relax. It sounds like he may be interested, at least in your looks. Honestly if a girl had the courage to start talking to me I would just be interested in getting to know them; you don't have to be perfect. You could use a boost of self esteem!
