I have a crush on a guy at the gym?

I used to see him in the leisure centre gym quite often and we used to make eye contact now and then.
Last year when I worked in an opticians he came in and when we made eye contact he turned around and checked his reflection in the mirror and put his hand through his hair.
I use a different gym now but I thought this morning I’d use the leisure centre gym and low and behold, he was there.
We made eye contact a few times. But as I went to take the cleaning spray back to the cleaning station, he came towards me to get the spray. I was all set to smile at him but he avoided eye contact!
Is he uninterested? Where do I go from here?
