Why are most guys afraid to compliment me?

Alot of guys will always compliment me to my friends. Like I have nice eyes, I'm pretty etc

They usually never say it to me. Only three guys have and they always look nervous/shly when they say it

Why are guys like this

Guys know typically not to compliment you..especially when you're not in a relationship with them. For one, it can be creepy, for two it gives you an ego boost (why should we?)..and for three, it shows you that we're interested (and while we want you to know we are) it's kind of like women and being straightforward. Once we've told you, we've basically given it away that we like you, without actually saying "i like you". Where's the fun in that?

Your friends are probably being nosy and trying to drag it out of them, and eventually they're like eh she's alright... Then they ask what do you like about her, and he's like she has pretty eyes. I doubt they are just going up to your friends on their own and doing it.

There could be one of several reasons:

1. A guy likes you and fears that by complimenting you, he will appear as desperate or too eager to please, and you will lose respect for him.

2. A guy isn't interested in you (though notices something really attractive about you) and doesn't want to give you an impression that he is interested, when he isn't.

3. A guy fears that you will see a compliment as sexual harassment or he will make an embarassing scene in front of other people.

This is the most perfect answer ever. There is a 4th scenario too though; That the guy isn't interested in you and also doesn't notice anything about you that he is attracted too. I'm not saying that's the case for you but I think those 4 reasons covers just about all of it.

I think toolt00l means is that sometimes the guy doesn't compliment you because he doesn't want to (not because he wants to and is afraid to).

because they think complimenting you would make them look like nice guys

"nice guy" is associated with friend zone

and friend zone is associated with total destruction of having a chance to have sex with you.

maybe because they aren't confident around you...maybe you're a little intimidating? (no offense intended). its more likley just because of your age though...guys get much more confident as they grow older
