Do you always ignore or avoid attractive people?

I will admit, I avoid attractive women because I know they're taken or have a husband who will beat my *** if I saw hi to her. So I don't bother even saying hi to a woman I consider is out of my league. Which is mostly all women who are attractive.

I know there are some women who avoid attractive men, so come on out into the open. Most attractive women are high maintenance, b****y, manipulative, rude, and overall bad people. Attractive women have smiled at me in the past, that means nothing to me. I still wouldn't trust her because attractive women have options coming out of theur a**es. They're also too much work. I prefer the average looking woman who is a 4 or 5 over a woman who is 6, 7, 8, 9 or a stunning 10 anyday of the week. Plus they like bad boys and jerks, which I already know I don't stand a chance in hell with her. So I don't bother talking to a woman who is a stunner.

Do you ignore people because they're attractive? I do. Ladies, you can answer as well. Be honest, would you avoid someone because they look good?

You are not alone. Normal Girls even sometime pretty girls will think this way. They avoid good looking guys. Most are intimitated and avoid any kind of relationship with them. The fact that women would have to deal with competition is one factor (though its not nessarilly true, bacause a lot of girls think this way).
The average girl will mostly have the fear that the guy just uses her till he finds a prettier girl. The other factor is that the average women can't stand it that her partner effortsly looks better than her and can attract girls very easily. They will get mad jealous. And try to bring him down. This has nothing to do if he is a jerk or not.
If guy looks really good he is automaticly a jerk. So most average girls stay with average guys. Even pretty girls have sometimes no self confindence to be with a handsome guy. So what to do when you happen to be good looking? Stop bothering with the average girls, look for girls who are on the same level or better looking than you otherwise you will probably run in seroius problems. Girls are not that innocent how they present themselfs. Some of them are so disturbed by jerks (handsome + confident) that they will insult him. For you as average guy you should get of this mind set. Many 'pretty' 6-7 girls will love to choose an average guy 5 - 5.5. Handsome men make women uncomfortable they have to prove themselfs twicet not to be a player to the beaiful girls. They project their own sexual wishes (to have many sexual partners) on a good looking guy and are somehow offended by themselfs. On the other hand average guys put women at ease they don't have to think twice what to say and there is a comfort between you too so when you are smart and have the right attitude you can easly get an pretty girl. Believe be very good looking people don't have it that easy how it is shown in the media. They have to deal with a lot of jelousy from staingers and friends, avoidencience from average people though you would be very nice to them and in generall people project all their hidden insecurties on you and sometimes you see yourself traped in an hostile world. This is when you are very good looking. So I would give you the tip to overthink you attitude and stop projecting you fears and insecurties on good looking girls. Good Luck!

When I look at an attractive girl, I don't think of all my competition but rather all the guys she's made feel like sh*t. She has probably turned down guys really harshly without an ounce of empathy, and I don't want to give her the satisfaction of my attention. It is out of spite I guess. Maybe I would even try to make her feel bad, just to see if I can. Sounds narcissistic but it's an internal thing for me. In the end I know she doesn't care and some other guy will hit on her. In the end she has high confidence in herself so it doesn't matter...but if she can put herself in her "victims" shoes for a few seconds it would be worth it.

My best friend looks like a super model and she's married to an average looking guy. She's madly in love and thinks he's the greatest thing ever. She's also one of the sweetest people I know. She doesn't know how gorgeous she is and it would definitely hurt her if someone was mean to her. She actually talks about it and doesn't understand.

Why can't everyone just be nice to people until they give them a reason not to, regardless of what they look like?

You have to admit, you're being very stereotypical in your judgement here.

Also, you're talking about YOUR perception of attractiveness - it's not the same for everyone, I have no idea what you'd classify as a 5 or a 6 to make the difference between "approachable vs unapproachable". It's personal.

You cannot say all the girls you consider attractive will be bitchy and high maintenance. Maybe these girls aren't as attractive to other people, do they still have those implied negative traits then ?

Be reasonable. I understand the not bothering with what you consider really attractive women - that's just called being insecure. I'm the same way with guys, I wouldn't even think about having a chance so I just avert my gaze and keep my distance. But it's not because I think they'd be shallow and a**holes. I just can't imagine them giving me the time of day, because I myself am insecure.

I guess I don't avoid the men I consider most attractive (which may be different than other women's, we seem to vary more than guys do in that respect). I think I might come off a little more blunt at first. I am extremely self-conscious and have come to believe most attractive men act either as though they can get something from me (professionally usually, since I work in a predominantly male industry) or as if I'm a naive little female who doesn't known what she's doing. I feel being guarded protects me from those stigmas when first meeting. And I work all the damn time, so that's pretty much the only time I see attractive men.

well, this issue doesn't depend on looks for me. if a guy is good looking and is a total jerk, no doubt I will avoid him. but at the same time, I can't assume that about all good looking guys. that isn't fair to the minority who are good looking and lovely on the inside too=]

being attractive is accompanied by confidence on the most part, I agree and this can get to their heads. there are people out there however, who don't think this way of themselves and take their looks as a blessing that isn't supposed to define them, rather than acting like theyr the best thing that planet Earth has beheld=]

I ignore all pretty people (that I would rank like 9, 10) because they ignore me too. Some of them are more natural and they don't mind talking to me, but some are just narcissistic and it might seem they are mean to you, but they just aim to be in "better company" which you are not. Unless you are someone interesting or famous.

That's not totally impossible. There was this guy I knew, he dated 2 celebs. He called them and verified it themselves (I was there). He was normal just like me. I couldn't believe it. I avoid them, but I think about his success. If he did it, why can't I?He made me see that popular girls and regular girls on the same level and I believe all guys should see it the same way. I tend to avoid them as well, though for slightly different reasons than being afraid. I haven't met enough attractive people that didn't let it go to their head and this made them act like real sh*tty people. I guess you could say I have bad experiences with attractive people to where I've decided that the stereotype of attractive people being bitchy is true enough for me to be better off leaving them be.
