If a man holds hands & hugs you when he is drunk but is normal when sober?

Does that mean he likes me or is it rather just friendliness?

If he is generally a nice guy but keeps distance to me when sober, although friendly. And he very much denied liking me in front of others. But when drunk and we were alone, he hugged me and hold my hand while walking.

It would mean he would LIKE to hold hands and hug you, but doesn't have the courage to do that until he had had enough to drink.

Drinking suppresses inhibitions, that's the major reason a lot of people drink before meeting someone they like!

Now you know what he is thinking about when he is sober!

Some people get that friendly when drunk. If you're not sure, talk to him alone.
