It doesn't last long...usually just a few hours of being around him, then we're happily chatting and flirting again.
So does anyone else ever act that way?

Trending & News I started doing that with a crush after she kept messing with me/leading me on etc only to not go anywhere with it.
I was all about being there, being friendly, easily accessible in the beginning of course (crushes make you do irrational things).
Eventually I got over her, stopped talking to her that much, told her I was too busy to meet up with her often because I actually started seeing my normal friends and other prospects more.
Over time she was the one that would initiate contact and finally we did fool around etc, but things ended badly when she snooped my phone (not cool). Seems like they only give you positive feedback once you start ignoring them more. Doesn't make any sense to me, but hey, it worked.
Yeah that's how I acted in high school a lot around crushes, I would BOLT for that door when the bell rang lol.

I keep my distance because I'm afraid of saying or doing something stupid and embarrassing around her which will destroy my chances of having her like me or at least think about me in a good way.
yeah
