Why would a guy keep asking me my age?

I met a guy about a week ago and we have been flirtatiously texting since, and he has asked me my age 3 times already... What is with that? I'm 23 and he is 27... Would that be a problem? Why does he keep checking my age?

Do you look really young? He may suspect you are way younger than 23, and that concerns him; it would be too much an age gap. He may even worry you are under the age of consent!

Haha I'm not sure I haven't played guess my age with anyone since I turned 21 and for some reason back them everyone guessed 25, but I'm not sure if that was an honest guess or not... I think it had a lot to do with the way I drank with my coworkers (it wasn't a big deal to me like it was to those under 21, but I enjoyed the social aspect so I still drank and did shots and things but it wasn't my number one reason for being there...) who knows maybe because of that I've done things to look young
