Why do girls wear belly button rings? What's the point of them?

Don't get me wrong. I think they are incredibly attractive, but what's the point of them? Is it to decorate your stomach? Is it an accessory to further attract guys when wearing short tops? Is it to mark the end of a girls innocence and signify rebellion/sexuality? Is it just purely for style?

Do any of you girls have your belly button's pierced? If yes, why did you do it and how is your lifestyle? By that I mean are you a good girl or a naughty girl or in between.

For me personally piercings make ME feel better about myself! It's not about what people think of them it's for my enjoyment. Some girls get their belly button pierced because they know guys find it cute and attractive, other do it because there are SO many choices for jewelry, some get it because their boyfriend wants them to and then there are those who WONT get it done of many reasons!

Yes I have mine pierced. I got it done when I was 13 because I thought they looked pretty. My lifestyle is all about balance between work, school, partying and down-time. So I guess I'm "inbetween". Physically I guess I'm less innocent - I have multiple piercings and tattoos.

I got my belly pierced a few years ago for my 16th birthday. When I think about this question, I am literally lost for an answer. I have no idea why I got my belly pierced D: maybe I thought it would be cute?

I have my belly button and my hips pierced. I just like the look of it I think its cute and feminine. I've never partied a lot I'm in between naughty and good. Jewelry makes women look more feminine.
