@Shamalien Staying at home is flattening the curve and reducing the number of cases that occur in a certain amount of time. It doesn't necessarily reduce the number of cases, but it makes it easier for our healthcare infrastructure to keep up and hopefully save some lives.
China did hold the information about Coronavirus for longer than they should have, but it is spreading like crazy because it has a high infection rate. Even the American government wasn't fully truthful about the virus and wanted to minimize the exposure to it.

The seriousness of the disease was not disclosed as it should have been, the blame is definitely on china, and in my opinion, the entire world needs to seriously question what we are enabling by continuing to trade with them and allow them to fly into our nations.

What you say implies that there are not more people infected than I believe there are. Everyone who would have gotten it already has it.

@Shamalien I don't think I am experienced enough to state whether the American government responded in a positive manner. Legal Eagle makes some good points and I would highly suggest watching his videos; he is slightly biased but that doesn't discount the points that he mentions. I do think that our government does a decent job overall considering that this is a series pandemic. I am not saying that the Chinese government did everything as well as they could have, but nobody is to blame for it. Coronavirus is an infectious disease and it will spread at whatever rate it will spread at. Blaming anybody for Coronavirus would be like blaming New Orleans for a hurricane.
I would be interested to see your evidence. Do you have evidence for believing that "everyone who would have gotten it already has it?" You obviously don't need evidence for a belief, but if you do have any evidence then I would love to see it.

I am not educated enough about Coronavirus to speak knowledgable about it because I am not a healthcare professional or official in an industry that requires knowledge about disease and illness. I do know that humans have little to almost no control over disease, especially viruses.
I am not sure what reading has to do with this, but I do read sometimes; although, not religiously. I mostly enjoy books about history or fictional books. I really enjoy Brandon Sanderson, George R. R. Martin, and J. K. Tolkien; what about you?
