I think this new trend of 15-30 minute food delivery is bad for our health | Every food delivery company is now competing for … the fastest-commerce food delivery.
Companies say it’s for our convenience. But we need to stop and think and ask an important question:
How is this food getting to me in 20-30 minutes? When even with full preparation, it easily takes 20-30 minutes to cook the food.
To deliver food in such a short time, it needs to be cooked in 5 minutes or less.
Restaurants can only achieve this in such a short time with highly-processed, ready-to-eat foods.
Pre-cooked → frozen → microwaved → delivered…..,,means ultra-processed food
I’ve often talked before about the dangers of ordering from the fastest delivery companies, but this fast-delivered food is the most dangerous.
Studies surrounding ultra-processed foods (UPFs) have found that they:
- Increase the risk of cancer by 12% and cardiovascular disease by 10%.
- Are linked to rising rates of obesity, which affects people of all ages.
- Cause the rise of diabetes and increase the risk of diabetes many fold.
- High in trans fats, contributing to heart disease.
These companies want to satisfy our need for convenience. But that 20-minute difference isn’t really worth it.
If you don’t have home cooked food and need to order, do so.
But wait a little longer for fresh food. Don’t compromise on your health.
Repost this to spread the message.

We don’t want ultra-processed garbage delivered in 20-30 minutes!”
