I actually took a culinary arts class in HS. However, it wasn't much of a class. I just joined for the field trips and becauss all we did was watch movies and get on the laptops. We barely cooked. When we did, she'd throw a pot at us and say "Fry this ground beef." I had no idea what to do. She told us to cook on low/medium but my meat took to long to brown lol. So I cut it on high and ended up like the guy in the last gif above. Maybe I'll try to leanr again some day. *shrugs*

for your ground beef story update, I usually put it on about an 8 with the bottom of skillet covered in water (don't like oily meat), wait til it's mostly browned like 7/8 or some shit I don't know how to describe, then let it simmer on about a 3, so it's finishes cooking without drying it to death, there's more factors but that's the simple method

I absolutely LOVE to cook and bake!!!
I am a bit of a master cake decorator ;) ... nah jk.
I'm really good and sometimes i work at the bakery for some cash, since i'm tight with the owners. We do wedding cakes and birthday cakes of course. It's the world's longest process and believe it or not, it can be really tiring on the muscles because some people order cakes that are really high and extremely heavy. Cake is no fucking joke. It is a serious job.
But i love every moment of it because at the end of the day i get to create something beautiful (and tasty). Cooking regular food (my area is mainly fine dining type stuff) is also a beautiful experience in itself. I have considered following my father's culinary footsteps but i love film too much, so maybe when i graduate from Full Sail, I might go to the same culinary school he did and get my certification. But then I don't know how imma do that and get my nail tech licence... ANYWAY, I can cook. My shit is bomb. And i love it.

I do it for both, the woman who raised me refused to cook so as a child it was microwaved canned food, when I was about 13 I started buying my own food and cooking everything and at 15 or so I was having dinner parties.
Two nights ago I made some saffron basmati rice and fresh hummus for the neighbors and they really appreciated it. However I live alone and primarily cook for myself.
