Flies can carry the Shigella bacteria, which is most commonly transferred to food from feces on human hands and flies. It is better safe than sorry to throw the potatoes away. Potatoes are a TCS (temperature controlled for safety) food. Botulism is also another risk. I personally would never risk it. Potatoes are quite cheap. Reheated mashed potatoes never taste as good anyway.

I don't know but I can promise they aren't going to taste good.
Whether or not they're actually bad for you is another thing altogether haha
Throw them away you don't know what kind of insects walk over night
it ought to still be safe to eat unless you have bug infestations or something like that than maybe don't.
I would most likely throw them out, i wouldn't take a chance to eat them.
