I’m really confused between “chip-pot-le” and “shawn-toodle” loll.

n the USA, 'chipotle' tends to be highly americanized, with people who pronounce chipotle like tchee:POHT:lay. The Mexican pronunciation is a little different: you say tchee:POT:leh. Many people mispronounce chipotle by saying chee:PO:til. This is not an acceptable pronunciation.

Chi-pote-lay...

"Chi" - like the "i" sound in words like "hit", "bit", "fit" or "pit".

"pote" - rhymes like "boat", "moat" or "float".

"lay" - that's pretty self explanatory. lol

Ship-otle for me because when I was younger my mum tried to teach me French and always said "Ch is s!" and growing up it sort of stuck sometimes. I don't pronounce words like that anymore but I still call it ship-otle for kicks and giggles.
