I watched two Marines fresh out of bootcamp, on leave, camping together with a group of about 50 of us friends, after ingesting much alcohol and other intoxicants, begin to dare each other to eat the grossest thing possible.

They matched each other, worm for worm, bug for bug, mouthfuls of earth, charcoal, sticks of wood and so on. The show went on for about an hour until they culminated their performances by each biting off and swallowing, chunks of bar soap and drum roll please, stick deodorant.

There were a few audience members that hurled at the moment the finale took place.

The two Marines clearly suffered for around a half hour before expelling the ghastly mixtures.

They were both sick for about a week.

No crayons were harmed in this performance.

I love telling that story.
